My Review: There are not any words to express how much I loved this movie! I am a very big fan of the production company A24, but found that they had quite a few misses in 2024, but this movie… This is what I think of when I think of A24.

This movie focuses on Divine G, who was imprisoned for a crime he didn’t commit. He is a playwright, a father and a friend to many in the film. He is using theatre as an escape from the reality that he and the other inmates are facing day in, and day out. I could relate to using theatre in this way, and it made me feel seen.

I found that I loved this movie, not only for the theatre aspect, but also for the story told. I knew when I came into this, that many of the character portrayals were done by the people who inspired the characters. This made the film feel so much more personal and revealing.

Would I Recommend This Movie?

Yes! I would recommend this movie to anyone and everyone! It is an inspirational story that made me feel so many feelings! If you have the chance to watch it, please do!

  1. […] Sing Sing: Another rewatch with a friend. This is by far, one of the best A24 movies to exist. Read My Review Here! […]
