My Review:
I found myself intrigued with this story, and once again, it had been on my TBR for the longest time. I was entertained and had a lot of feelings while reading it, which is nice. It’s hard for some books to make me feel long term feelings for the characters. I felt the highs and lows for both characters, and was invested in the story until the very end.
It is told from 2 POV’s, and you as the reader know more than either of the characters… at least, I did. I enjoy this kind of book, where I know more than the characters, but they are still learning and come to the conclusion on their own. I love a book that show’s and doesn’t tell!
I found that both character’s were interesting while reflecting on their own lives and actions. They are full of life lessons, and are overall solid characters.
Would I Recommend This Book?
I would recommend this to anyone who wants to get into historical fiction, interested in mysteries and enjoys double POV’s. The audiobook was interesting, and gave it more personality than my imagination could!
