Wrap Up: March 2025

This month has gone by so quickly and I have been in a reading slump. I read rather consistently but did struggle to enjoy reading. But Denver and I watched many movies, and we spent a lot of time together!

I had Spring Break a few weeks back where I hung out with my family and I spent a lot of time playing the Sims 4 and watching TV.

Overall, this was a good month and I am excited to see how April treats me!

Books I Read

  1. Spiral, Bal Khabra: I DNF’d this book… I don’t have much to say… If you read it, I hope you love it, but it’s not for me.
  2. The Secret Lives of Church Ladies, Deesha Philyaw: I read this for a book club on campus and enjoyed it! I am currently rereading the book to try and pick up on things I might’ve missed.
  3. The Southern Book Clubs Guide to Slaying Vampires, Grady Hendrix: I read this for a book club as well and did find it to be enjoyable after I got past chapter 20.

My Current Reads

  1. Onyx Storm, Rebecca Yarros.
  2. The Handmaid’s Tale, Margaret Atwood.
  3. First Time Caller, B.K. Borison.

Movies I Watched

Hillbilly Elegy: I think this was very interesting, but I did give it a low rating.

The Green Knight: Intriguing. Fanciful. A solid film produced by A24.

Kingsman: The Secret Service: I love silly spy movies ❤

The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare: This was a rewatch that Denver and I did with a friend of ours. I still love this movie just as much as I did when we saw it in theatres.

Star Trek: I very much enjoyed this film, and am excited to watch the next installment!

Will & Harper: I found this to be a sweet documentary of Will Ferrell and Harper traveling across the US to bond.

Django Unchained: Such a good film! Read My Review Here!

Mickey 17: This has been a hit or miss with audiences, but I did love it. Read My Review Here!

Thelma: I’ve been wanting to watch this for a while as well, and it didn’t disappoint. I did find this to be a funny movie regarding an elderly lady being scammed.

Warrior: Warrior walked so Iron Claw could run.

Martha: I never needed to know all of this about Martha Stewart…

Kingsman: The Golden Circle: Channing Tatum as a cowboy is everything I needed in this movie.

Novocaine: This did not live up to my expectations and I kind of wish I didn’t watch it… Read My Review Here!

Casino Royale: This was such a fun introduction to the 007 universe!

Quantum of Solace: I forgive this movie for being bad.

WALL-E: You cannot tell me this isn’t the best movie Pixar has made.

Sing Sing: Another rewatch with a friend. This is by far, one of the best A24 movies to exist. Read My Review Here!

Babylon: Another rewatch with a friend. One of the most underrated films that keep you on your toes!

Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio: It was good! I do wish it was a tad more dark, but I still enjoyed it.

Skyfall: Working our way through the 007 universe, and this is by far the best one. Also Adele? Her vocals are insane!

TV Shows I Watched

Dynsaty: Soap Opera reboot with Liz Gilles? Sign me up! I also finished this in early March!

Severance: I believe this is the best Apple TV show, and I will die on that hill. Although the season finale for season 2 was a bit of a letdown, it was such a good show! Until season 3!

Invincible: SUCH A GOOD SHOW! Intriguing and funny!

Daredevil: Born Again: I am enjoying this so much! I am a big fan of Daredevil, so I am having a wonderful time watching this!

Things I Liked

  1. The Tulip Festival
  2. Spending time with my family
  3. Sushi nights with Denver

It’s a good day to have a good day!
