my thoughts

I understand why so many horror lovers are fans of Hendrix! His storytelling is impecable and the way he is able to create intriguing characters and plot is astounding.

Although I found it interesting, I did find myself bored after the first 20 chapters. I think every chapter did add something to the story and was important, I couldn’t help the boredom I felt. I was heading to a reading slump, and did ultimately fall into one, so that could be why I was so bored.

However, once I got to Act III of the book, I found myself getting wrapped into the story more and more! I started to notice the character development for each character which helped solidify the 3.5 star rating. The side characters helped the book come to life!

do i recommend this book?

I do! I think it is one of the stronger books Hendrix has released and found it was an overall good story. It is well written, with fleshed out characters and an enjoyable plot. If you enjoy horror or are looking to begin reading Hendrix’s books, I recommend this!
