Wrap Up: May 2025

Again, May slipped through my fingers and we are entering June! Ah! This past month has been full of spending time with my boys and (unsurprisingly) working! I hope you enjoy this post & find something useful from it!

Books I Completed

  1. First-Time Caller, B.K. Borison: It was fine. Nothing to write home about, but it was good! Read My Review Here!
  2. My Next Breath, Jeremy Renner: The day after the release, I was reading this! It is such a heartbreaking yet empowering memoir to listen to, and it has helped me gain respect for Renner! Read My Review Here!
  3. Before We Were Innocent, Ella Berman: This book kept me engaged the entire time! I’m excited to write my review!
  4. How to Commit a Postcolonial Murder, Nina McConigley: I received this as an ARC and read it within 1 setting. It’s alright. A review is on it’s way.

My Current Reads

  1. Onyx Storm, Rebecca Yarros. Paused.
  2. The Handmaid’s Tale, Margaret Atwood.
  3. Project: Hail Mary, Andy Weir.

Movies I Watched

Accountant 2, 2025: Just as good as the first one!! Such a fun, action packed movie! Read My Review Here!

Thunderbolts*, 2025: Marvel is heading towards the right direction, and I am excited to see this new and (hopefully) improved MCU! Read My Review Here!

Mission Impossible – Rouge Nation, 2015: It’s a fun movie! I enjoyed watching Jeremy Renner and Tom Cruise interact!

Gracie’s Choice, 2004: There is something about Lifetime movies that scratch an itch for me. Maybe because I watched them growing up, maybe because I love drama. This is a fine movie, nothing to write home about, but it’s free on YouTube so… That’s a win.

Tag, 2018: I was in desperate need for a “boy movie” and this filled that need! Instead of Scooby-Doo 2 (aka one of my safe movies), I watched this and loved it!

1, 2, 3, All Eyes On Me, 2021: This is a short film that focuses on the gun violence in the American Public School System. It is heartbreaking and heavy.

Temple Grandin, 2010: Scenes from this movie pop up a lot, so when I found it on MAX, I had to watch it. It’s interesting but not the best movie in the world.

Friendship, 2025: This movie is a fever dream.

TV Shows I Watched

Grey’s Anatomy, Season 8: I’m trudging through! Many moments of crying. Many moments of ranting. I missed this show!

Studio, Season 1: This is very funny, and such an interesting discussion on Hollywood and the media.

The Last of Us, Season 2: Honestly… Not a fan, but whatever. Glad it is ended!

The Pitt, Season 1: I’m slowly watching this. I enjoy it, but it is a bit heavier to me than Grey’s Anatomy.

Righteous Gemstones, Season 3: I love this show, a lot! It’s funny creates an interesting discussion on religion and mega churches.

Sister Wives, Season 19: A girl show… That’s all you need to know.

3 Things I Am Grateful For

  1. I went to GalaxyCon again this year! Blog post will be coming!
  2. I spent time with my brother over the weekened!
  3. I made plans to see my granny this upcoming weekend!

I am pleased with the media I’ve consumed this month and am excited that I’m back on my reading journey!

Is there anything you are grateful for this month?

It’s a good day to have a good day!

What are your thoughts?
