Every month I think get excited for the newest releases coming to the theatre, to my TV screen, or my Kindle! There aren’t many in July that I’m really looking forward to, but there is still reason to be excited!

The Naked Gun, 2025 – In Theatres, August 01
We saw the trailer for this not too long ago and it looks like it will be a good time! Denver and I are excited to watch this one!

Freakier Friday, 2025 – In Theatres, August 08
I grew up watching and then rewatching Freaky Friday so of course, I will be seeing this. And of course, I will be taking my sister.

Nobody 2, 2025 – In Theatres, August 15
I have become a big fan of Bob Odenkirk since I watched Better Call Saul, and I loved the first installment of Nobody. Do I think it needed a 2nd installment… No. Will I still watch it? Yes.

Caught Stealing, 2025 – In Theatres, August 29
Austin Butler… Is there anything else I need to say?

The Roses, 2025 – In Theatres, August 29
We saw the trailer for this and I was intrigued. This isn’t necessarily a must watch, but it’s definitely on my watchlist!

📺 TV Shows to Watch in August 2025

King of the Hill, Season 14 – Streaming on Prime on August 04
King of the Hill is a comfort show for me! I watched it growing up and am so pleased that a season 14 is coming out in August!

Peacemaker, Season 2 – Streaming on HBO Max on August 21
I, personally, loved the first season of Peacemaker. It’s not the best show in the world, but I cannot deny John Cena and the humor in the show.

Eyes of Wakanda – Streaming on Disney+ on August 27
If something comes out that has to do with Black Panther, of course I will be watching it. And the animation looks stunning!

The Whisperings by Joel A. Sutherland – Releases August 05
Horror! Ghosts! The excitement is hard to contain!

The Dead Husband Cookbook by Danielle Valentine – Releases August 05
Part of the synopsis reminds me of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid, which I loved. I did receive this as an eARC and a review should be out July 29!

A Dog in Georgia, Lauren Grodstein – Releases August 05
A book about self-discovery about confronting your own needs and they’re searching for a dog!? Sign me up.
