We’re back in full swing at work and I feel like I have watched and read little to nothing. But I did read 7 books, and am still reading 3 others… Boy howdy, let’s get this moving!

Books I Completed

  1. Summer by Jenny Han, Books #1-3: It’s a trilogy, but Belly… babe. Why?
  2. Finding Me, Viola Davis: A deeply reflective and honest memoir about Viola’s childhood, and rise to stardom.
  3. Atmosphere, Taylor Jenkins Reid: It’s okay! I came in with too high of expectations, which weren’t met and left me feeling disappointed. Read My Review!
  4. My Sister, the Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite: Another book that was just okay. I might’ve not been the right audience for it, but I went in with expectations that weren’t met.
  5. Out On a Limb by Hannah Bonam-Young: It’s a cute romance with disability representation from both the FMC and MMC. The tropes don’t feel over used, and is an overall solid plot.

My Current Reads

  1. Project: Hail Mary, Andy Weir.
  2. Lovewell Lane, Ansley B. Calloway.
  3. Rouge, Mona Awad.
  4. The Book Club for Troublesome Women, Marie Bostwick.

Movies I Watched

The Fantastic Four: First Steps, 2025: I said it on Letterboxd, and I’ll say it here… It was bold of them to release this so soon after Superman.

Couple’s Retreat, 2009: A silly movie, that’s all it is.

The Road to April 19, 2024: As an Oklahoma Native, the April 19th bombing follows me. This was a thorough documentary regarding before the tragedy.

Bama Rush, 2023: Have you ever gotten sucked into BamaTok? I have and this documentary touches on that.

Am I OK?, 2022: The best part was when Dakota Johnson came on screen. Everything else was just… okay.

The Naked Gun, 2025: Such a fun movie! It’s cleaver, funny, and an overall good time!

Freaky Friday, 2003: A rewatch before my sister and I watched the newest installment!

Weapons, 2025: The way I have been excited about this since I saw the trailer! Honestly, one of my favorite horror movies of 2025! Read My Review Here!

Freakier Friday, 2025: This lived up to my expectations and I think it was a great second installment!

Non-Stop, 2014: An interesting, and intriguing movie that takes place in one location. Thrilling, a bit predictable, but overall a great

TV Shows I Watched

Common Side Effects: One of the best adult animation shows I have watched in a long time! Read My Review Here!

The Sopranos: Watching something that changed the way storytelling is done feels like being apart of history.

3 Things I Am Grateful For

  1. The school year is back in full swing!
  2. I have picked up creative writing again, and am finding joy in it!
  3. Lots of times spent reading!

It’s a good day to have a good day!
