Wrap Up: February 2025

February… the month of love and apparently snow days. This month, I consumed a lot of media, ate a lot of good food and spent time with friends, family and my lovely boyfriend!

I had 3 consecutive snow days, celebrated my dad’s 60th birthday and of course, read books that were on my tbr! Along with that, I shared this blog with my fellow friends and family via Facebook! This was a big step for me, but one I am glad I took! You might be thinking “Why was this such a big deal?” well it’s because I do not like self-promoting anything. I have a hard time celebrating myself, so it was a win in my book to tell my friends and family about this!

Anyway, that’s enough of that, here is my February wrapped!

Books I Read

The Final Girl Support Group, Grady Hendrix (01/30-01/31): A fun & enjoyable read that kept me on my toes. Read My Review!

We Sold Our Souls, Grady Hendrix (02/04-02/07): Not as enticing as the first Hendrix book I read. Read My Review!

Psychology of Money, Morgan Housel (09/02/24-02/06/25): This was a solid read; I don’t have too much to say regarding it since it is a finance book, written by a finance guy about saving money.

The House of My Mother, Shari Franke (02/10-02/11): A great insight into the behind the scenes of YouTuber (and now felon) Ruby Franke aka The 8 Passengers and family vloggers. A truly horrific story told from her eldest daughter.

Greenlights, Matthew McConaughey (02/18-02-20): A personal memoir from actor Matthew McConaughey. Inspirational while also funny. Read My Review!

The Berry Pickers, Amanda Peters (02/20-02/23): Interesting story told from two perspectives about a girl who isn’t who she thought she was, and a man with a dying wish.

My Current Reads

  1. Spiral, Bal Khabra
  2. Onyx Storm, Rebecca Yarros
  3. The Secret Lives of Church Ladies, Deesha Philyaw
  4. The Southern Book Clubs Guide to Slaying Vampires, Grady Hendrix.

Movies I Watched

Thor, (2011): A solid introduction to Thor in the MCU.

The Substance (2024): I was so excited, but felt so let down by it. Read My Review!

Dumb Money (2023): I have been wanting to watch this and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Read My Review!

Moneyball, (2011): Fun movie, Brad Pitt once again stuns my screen.

Uncut Gems, (2019): A24 continues to be my favorite production company, and it is wonderful to see Adam Sandler in something that isn’t a comedy.

Captain America: Brave New World (2025): I had such a good time watching this! Read My Review!

Pulp Fiction, (1994): A classic Quinton Tarantino movie.

The Prestige, (2006): Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman is a duo I didn’t know I needed!

Challengers, (2024): Something I didn’t expect to like so much. I didn’t know I could dislike a Zendaya character so much!

TV Shows I Watched

Pop Culture Jeopardy!: Continuing the Jeopardy train!

Great British Bake Off: Just a fun baking show that I enjoy watching.

Blue Ribbon Baking Championship: Another fun baking show!

Severance: I believe this is the best Apple TV show, and I will die on that hill.

Invincible: SUCH A GOOD SHOW! Intriguing and funny!

Things I Liked

  1. Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl Half Time Show
  2. Valentine’s Brunch instead of dinner
  3. ‘Not Another D&D Podcast’ & ‘Dungeon’s and Daddies’
